Default flop and turn play w/ a set-o-nines

I'm running so friggin' bad right now.

UTG was nothing special. Too passive but now awful. Other guys are strangers.

Online 6-handed

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls, SB calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls.

Flop: (13 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, Button folds, SB calls, <font color="#CC3333">UTG 3-bets</font>, Hero calls (yeah?), SB calls.

Turn: (10.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises (yeah?)...</font>

Ditto, daddy-o.

Waiting til the turn to pop isn't a bad idea. The odds are probably better that he has one K rather than two, or some big PP...but since you said that you're running bad, he had KK. Good times.

You probably have the best hand so I like waiting til the turn instead of capping the flop because he'll probably just call down if he has AK. If he raises the turn, I'd just call down, if he's passive enough.

Nice so far. Don't sweat it if he had KK.

The cat's pajamas.

Sounds like your a little unsure of yourself, probably from getting beat up lately. Might be good to drop down a limit and beat up on some of those guys for a while, or maybe take a little break and come back refreshed.

Why not cap the flop?
