Default I\'m stupider than Party Poker!!!

Here's a funny one,

Abbreviating the e-mails for simplicity:

Missing PPM V freeroll -

Hi -

You guys took away one of my freerolls for the PPM V semifinals.

I am looking on the my-account page under 'check my freeroll status' to see that one is missing.

I won a couple of $535 freerolls back when that was the amount.
I won them on July 22 and July 30.
I am still waiting for these to be converted to $270 freerolls and to be refunded the rest.
I was told this would happen within a week.

I then won a $270 freeroll ticket (I believe on aug 15) and used it to purchase a semi-final entry on august 16.

I have won 3 semi-final tickets.
I have only used one of them.
I have only 1 freeroll ticket remaining when I should have 2 remaining.

what's going on here?

please give back my freeroll coupon.

Thanks,
Robert xxxxxxx

Dear Robert,

Thank you for contacting us.

With regards to your email, we went through your account and we see
that you have two Entries to PPM V semi-finals. For more information
regarding the same, please go through the link given below.

-----------------------------------------

Are you saying that I still have 2 that are available?
Or are you saying that I have 2 freerolls and that I have already used one to buy-in.

How many $535 freerolls do I have?

I won one on July 21 and another on July 30.
The one that I won on July 21 no longer appears in my account under 'check my available freerolls'.

It was only recently taken away.
Both of these $535 freerolls appeared on that page the last time I checked a couple of days ago.

Please clarify and elaborate on your previous statement.

Thank you,
Robert xxxxxxxx

-----------------------------------

Dear Robert,

Thank you for contacting us.

In regard to your email, we see that you have two freerolls to the
PPM V semi-final. They were won by you on the 30-JUL-05 (00:38) and
21-JUL-05 (22:46).

Please note that there has been a restructuring of the PPM V tournament
structure. The new structure no longer has the Semi-Final entries at
$535.00 rather at $270.00 as the buy-in.

Please note that all the players with entries into the PPM V
semi-finals get the difference amount credited in their account with in a weeks
time.

--------------------------------

It was at this point I decided to call them.....because I still couldn't tell if I had 3 total freerolls (including the one I won in august that I have already used to purchase a seat).

Guy from party was very polite and professional and told me that I had 2 freerolls available and that I had won them on July 21 and 30.

I insisted that the July 21 was no longer showing up on my screen. Was it taken away somehow?

finally figured it out though (and the guy on the phone got a pretty good laugh when we figured it out)

Here's my last e-mail to them:

---------------------------------------

Thank you for your reply.
I have since called partypoker and gotten the situation figured out.

The problem was that I was unable to see the July 21 freeroll that is available to me.

The reason for this is because the 'Check my freeroll activity' page only shows up for the last 30 days. So the freeroll from July 21 had disappeared and it took me a little while to figure out why. I just had to change the dates of the 'freeroll activity' that I wanted to look at.

Thanks for helping me.

I am informing you of the mistake I made from my end so that you might be able to help any future customer with a similar problem in which they can't figure out why one of their freerolls is 'missing' or no longer appearing on the screen.

I was a little concerned that it had suddenly disappeared like that but am glad that I finally figured it out.

- Thanks
Robert xxxxxx

Oh, if we only knew. I work in technical support for a pacemaker/ICD company and you should hear some of the descriptions of nurses or doctors that have called in with some of the most inane questions. Granted my group all have college degrees and many of us advanced degrees but you get some hilarious stories working in tech support.
