Re: Flames please: 77 in BB
I would have bet out on the flop. If it's such a passive game why would you think anyone would bet such a scary flop. On the turn I would have bet out hoping everyone would fold and even if I got some callers you still have some outs. Looking at the river action it looks like a bet on the turn might have worked.

Re: Flames please: 77 in BB
I thought that you were going to raise preflop, and then I was going to have to come to your defense.
Preflop, OK, I can live with the limp, but I would have raised and bet out on the flop, against limpers. Flop, noone raised preflop, why not bet? Even if you are up against a made flush, you have 17 outs to beat him. Turn, In most shorthanded games, someone with a diamond would have bet the flop, I think your hand was still good, I would have bet, and even if you aren't good, you still have 10 outs. River, Oh well, the pot is tiny, and it isn't worth calling to chop. Apparently when you said that this was a passive game, you were including yourself in there . |

Re: Flames please: 77 in BB
No way can you check this flop. You must bet. You'll get called by crappy diamonds and raised by draws. If by some chance someone flopped a flush, you have outs to a full house.
You can't give a crappy diamond a free shot to beat you. |
