Default Value betting river in PL

This situation has happened a few times lately, and I'm looking for some advice if it should be played different. You flop a wap draw on a rainbow board, call a smallish bet then make your (nut) hand on turn. You pot the turn in position and get 2 or more callers. Obviouly you're praying for the board not to pair because you figure the callers for trips or a lower straight draw. River brings a blank, no low possible...but completes a backdoor flush. It's checked to you (on button)....do you value bet or check hand? In limit I have no problem betting, but since this is PL it changes the way I view it. Thoughts?

Go for the check-raise.

Oh, I see you were on the button so my jackass comment doesn't apply.

I wouldn't bet out. If you bet out smallish, an aggressive player might come over the top and make you fold the best hand. If you pot it, you are only getting called by hands that beat you (or, at best, tie). You might, however, get a small flush to fold to a pot bet, but then you're bluffing and it really doesn't matter what you hold.

If you're in a live PLO8 game, on the button, you can check in the dark before the river card comes over. Then when everyone points out that you checked out of turn, bet or raise when the action gets around to you. That is how you check-raise in position.
