I like Andrew Sullivan's blog, as he is a self-described gay conservative. Not all conservatives would consider him to be a conservative, especially because he dares to vehmently disagree with the conservative consensus on hot-button issues and because he is socially liberal/libertarian. In fact, it's more accurate to say that he is independent than that he is conservative, although he is probably more conservative than liberal (as those terms are currently used).
While I don't always agree with him, his opinions are well-reasoned and he tries to honestly assess all of the information before deciding where he stands. To me, that makes for great reading. |
