Default Good River bet or insanity?

Button is loose aggressive. MP2 is tight aggressive.

maybe insanity. if hes loose aggressive then hes only going to call your river bet or reraise you if hes pushes this whole time with A5 or 8x I check and call here and maybe hell fear the ace and check it. either way it seems like u dont really want this bet called. and if u check and call you may induce one last bluff attempt.

A loose/aggressive could bluff raise this river, which makes it hard to bet/fold it. Because of that (and the fact that he's aggressive to begin with), I prefer check/call here.

Are you expecting worse hadns to call or better hands to fold?

How on earth is this standard? This whole hand was butchered in my opinion up to and including the river bet. If button is LAG hero needs to be pushing wayharder than crawling back into his shell after the flop raise. But checkcalling twice and then betting out when the worst card in teh deck for your hand hits is stupid.

If poker was like driving - this would be a horrific car crash.

Actually, I wasn't worried about the Button raise, but the MP2 cold call of the raise, that is why I slowed down. With MP2 folding the turn I felt a lot better at getting this thing to showdown.

I thought the river bet might fold JJ-KK enough to be profitable, although in hindsight that probably isn't true.

Remember that poker players tend to proscribe their own style of play onto their opponents (particularly bad poker players). A LAG will never fold JJ-KK to your river bet, because he would bluff at the ace with a worse hand if he were in your position. He therefore suspects that you would, too.

Besides which, I would expect a LAG to cap preflop with any of those hands (and quite a few more).
