Re: Big Ass Rant
So when you're winning, you don't get sucked out on, but when you're losing, you do get sucked out on... interesting....

Re: Big Ass Rant
[ QUOTE ]
I play great poker. I never, ever, not once have had this issue playing in B&M. I’ve played about 20 B&M sessions and have won about 15 of them. [/ QUOTE ] You use the word great repeatedly when describing your play. This very immodest word probably shouldn't be used with this much enthusiasm, especially by someone with your small sample size. Combined with your assertion that you never go on tilt, I find it hard to believe you are very honest with yourself or evaluating your poker play and results clearly. Yes, 30k recorded hands is small. So is twice that. 10k is a joke. And 20 B&M sessions? Please! Many people play that many in a month -- that's no sample size at all. And many internet players play 10k in about 10 days and 30k in about a month. These are just not big numbers. You've got to get it through your head that your results are not extraordinary. All that said, I've noticed the same thing as you many times. But...in 30k worth of hands, like my 70k, you're bound to be able to find patterns. And bound to miss some others. Patterns are everywhere -- you could go crazy collecting them and thinking about them -- but they don't necessarily mean a thing. What would really be bizarre is if you did NOT notice patterns after tens of thousands of hands and hundreds of sessions. |

Sanity check
Hey 98,
Bad swings happen. Whenever a player says "I'm playing great poker" I smile. You are not. I've posted a winner for 13 straight months of online play, and I'm playing 125-150 hours per month, 2-3 tables at a time. I'm not playing great poker. I had a 25,000 hand group recently where I was unable to win anything substantial, just even for 5 weeks, but it ended with a 2-week winning streak. That 27K hands is your entire sample size. You are probably not as good as you think, but you may still be a winning player. When you get to 100k hands, you will know. You are not special, you are not being picked on. The gambling gods do not hate you. You are simply a poker player. Poker is gambling. Sometimes you do not win for extended periods of time. EVERYBODY goes through this. Use the search and you will find 100's of other threads mentioning the same thing. Honest. Better luck to you. Dogmeat [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Re: Big Ass Rant
Thanks for pointing that out. I don't give "too" much credit for a late position raise unless I know the person to be tight, but that is a bad hand. How many hands do you have on me in PT? How many that I've shown down? Now, how many were less than marginal?

Re: Big Ass Rant
<<<Wow! I’m now wondering why you would say that. Its funny how the same 4-5 of you respond to these types of questions.>>
Damn. Guys, theyve figured out that we are all just party poker employees, paid to maintain the sites reputation. And GOT,,, didnt you kill kennedy? Seriously, after thirty thousand hands you could maybe determine if you know how to play poker. After 20 B&M sessions i think you could, however, safely assume that you know how to get to the casino. peace john nickle |

You are wrong. I play great poker. I never, ever, not once have had this issue playing in B&M. I’ve played about 20 B&M sessions and have won about 15 of them. [/ QUOTE ] 20 B&M sessions and you consider yourself an expert? How many hands do you think you played at the casino? That's definitely too small a sample size. |
