Re: Next book for a poor man?
I agree with the others that you should buy HEFAP, but I dont think you need to rush out and buy it right now. I bought it two months after starting playing and didnt come close to grasping many of the concepts, simply bc I had never played in a game similar to what is discussed in the book.
SSHE is the book I wish I had 9 months ago when I started playing, its incredible. I see that you already have it, so read and reread it several times until you know it by heart. Then when you get above $5-10 (or maybe even $10-20), then you can buy HEFAP, but right now I dont think its necessary. fsuplayer |

Re: Next book for a poor man?
I would get one of the following:
I second who ever recommended Improve Your Poker by Ciaffone. Real Poker II the play of the hands by Roy Cooke. I really can't say enough good stuff about this book. Middle Limit Hold'em. I recommend this simply because it has so many hand examples. It might even hold you over until you can win enough to buy another book. Just be aware that the advise it gives is geared toward tighter games then you are facing. |

Re: Next book for a poor man?
I would recommend Inside the Poker Mind by John Feeney. It is very easy to understand and has really helped me understand why I do stupid things sometimes. It is a little more than just a poker book. I don't see alot of posters on here talk about this book, but I have found it to be very valuable to my poker game in general.
