I just read Perfect Storm and they detail it as the most horrible thing imaginable. I will detail it from memory: You are likely trapped in an unclosed space underwater. You are holding your breath, since you don't want to breathe water. After about 1.5-2 minutes, the carbon dioxide fills your brain and triggers you to breathe. You breathe in the water, and that suffocates your lungs, draining your blood system. Does that sound fun?

I know for a fact that I would be panicing like a mofo. Freezing, on the other hand, is supposedly a pleasant way to go.

seriously, I have no problem with drowning. maybe getting blasted by a great white (as long as it's pretty instantaneous). i willingly put myself into the ocean while fishing, diving and surfing, so I shouldn't have any qualms with any possible end effects of my hobbies.

A big explosion would be cool.
Something where I save Earth. Like in Stargate SG-1. I'm drunk right now. Snu snu would also be a great way to die. Also in Jessica Alba's thighs would be awesome.

I almost died twice when I was in elementary school. At a certain point all pain ceases and you blackout. Nothing to worry about.
The only thing I would care about is a slow painful death from some illness. In that case I'll hop a one-way flight to Vegas and get a room with a Strip view with a hot tub. Pop mass quantities of sleeping pills and wash them down with some good champagne. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
