Default Book Recomendation

Extremes

This book is very well written by a well read individual and more than just a little interesting. It is also very timely. In fact, this book would be timely no matter what portion of the eternal epoch of human imbecility and credulity you happen to inhabit.

The review by 'Publishers Weekly' is good as are the other professional reviews on the web site. I did not look at the personal reviews.

As an interesting aside the booket jacket picture is not available on the Amazon website. I submit this is because the book jacket is a detail from the famous and bizzare painting titled 'The Haywayn Triptych' (or The Haywain) by Hieronymaus Bosch. Check out the following website for information and a link to the paintings by Bosch (including The Haywain). Bosch Paintings

I first read this book about 8 years ago. Recently, I just pulled it off the shelf again and breezed through some of it. I wonder why?

I highly recommend this book to John Cole and think extracts from the book would make excellent fodder for a class.
