Am I alone in my thinking that casino whoring is a load of crap?

And to OP, this "crap" is not for everyone. Not a lot of people can handle playing 1,000s and 1,000s of Blackjack hands and sitting in front of a computer clicking a mouse over and over for hours and hours. Those that do like money a lot, so we put up with it and all the other "crap" that goes with it.

So you are not alone in thinking it. I would guess that a majority of people who bust out on their first couple of casinos would agree with you, just like a lot of my friends who bust their first 50 out of Party Poker are positive that it is rigged.

Heck, I made money on Starluck and that was more or less my reaction. I find blackjack to be just about the most boring thing in the world, and I know I don't have the temperament to go through the delaying tactics and seizures people here have had to deal with. Sticking to poker is obviously the right choice for me.

The funny thing about casino whoring is that it reminded me how much I miss blackjack. I started my less than illustrious career in gambling counting cards. After the reality of the difficulties in making it playing 21 set in I took up poker out of sheer neccessity. Hell, I didn't even know what checkraise meant when I started reading my first poker book.

Having a 20 cracked by the dealers 7 card 21 just doesn't get to me like having a big hand cracked by some piece of crap on the other side who is laughing his ass off, thinking that he is Gods gift to Hold 'em, because he made duece four work.

I would take blackjack anyday if it offered the same potential.

This was clearly -EV. Why would you not try everything you could to get the download versions working? Reinstall Java, try different browsers? Why just suck it up and play the download version? That's just dumb....hence you're dumb.

So you are saying that the Java version plays by different rules than the downloaded versions? Is this true of many of the casinos? How much of an advantage is there in the Java versions over the DL ones?
