Default Taking advantage of the NYC strike - Eating at restaurants

ok, i usual lurk the strategy areas and rarely post in OOT, but this idea was a v good one from one of the guys i work with.

go eat at nice restaurants across the city that usually have a very long reservation list. Tonight, I'm going to babbo w/a friend of mine. . .

tomorrow is either Per Se, Cafe Boulud, or maybe something lighter.

anybody else got good recommendations?

My friends cancelled their Luger's reservations last night that they booked 2 months in advance... I'm sure most restaurants have openings now...

Nobu's is a good idea, but i've eaten there enough times to not want to go back if I'm paying.

if you are willing to go to Per Se, then obviously $$ is no option. Nobu is a good suggestion. Also, how about:

1) Il Mulino (although after Babbo, maybe enough Italian)
2) Sparks - i like it as much as Lugar's, and no trip to BK.
3) Masa (but that and per se in the same week might be a bit much))

Jean Georges (serving French cuisine)
Alain Ducasse (French)
Le Bernardin (French)

these are the only 3 star Michelen Guide reasturants in NYC , try there maybe?

Edit removed Per Se you already had it on your list
