Dell 9300 problem opening tables at 96 DPI

I just got the 9600 w/ the high res widescreen monitor to 4 table at Empire. I am able to open tables at 120 DPI but there are black borders around it so I switched to 96 dpi and it looks fine when I open the main screen at Empire but now it won't let me open any tables. I can see the list of tables at the lobby but when I try to open one, the table will not open. I tried rebooting and reinstalling the program but it doesn't help. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
