No- this is not meant to beat a bad beat post... I'm curious what you think of my line. The questionable spots in my mind are not betting out the flop and betting the river.

I would have definitely made large enough bet on the flop to make calling a mistake for any straight or flush draws.

I don't see anything wrong with the way you played this hand discribing the player you were playing it against. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

I see no problem with not betting the flop if you're looking to put out a check raise. Checking here though I hope you have some sort of read, probably on the villian, that he will bet if checked to just because he has position. If you think it is unlikely that someone may bet, such as you've seen the villian check flops when he's last to acct before, then I would lead at this flop as someone may think you are betting second pair.

After checking the flop the turn bet looks good. The K has to raise some flags on the river but you have TP now with the best kicker. I hate his min raise and make a crying call hoping he has a worse ace or he thought I was bluffing and bet a pair of kings like a donkey.

In general I don't mind completing and keeping the pot small, but I think its a mistake not to raise this villain BTF with AQ, especially when the caller probably has a marginal hand too.

The way you played the hand, I don't like the river bet. After villain checks the flop and calls the turn, he's either trapping you or he needs a card. The river card could have very easily helped villain. Hero has not given much information out about the strength of his hand and should expect to get to a showdown cheap if he checks it.

When you value bet the river I think KQ call you, but KJ and QT raise you. I think an ace you beat is unlikely and a J will fold. If you check the river I think all these hands and more will bet.
