Default Does this qualify as police brutality?

Knee to the back of 11 year old girl

This mexican girl was playing in her front yard in Fresno. some boys rode by on bikes and started teasing her and her siblings and throwing water balloons at the girl. the girl got pissed and threw a rock at the boys. the rock hit a boy in the forehead and caused bleeding. he was treated and released the same day at a hospital. the cops then cuffed and stuffed the little girl and held her in juvy for 5 days and did not allow her parents to see her. when they let her out she had to wear an ankle bracelet and she had to be let out of class early so she didn't violate her 3:00pm curfew. She is awaiting trial on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

Is this just ridiculous or what?

Seems to qualify as police stupidity. It seems the first agressor always gets their choice of weapons -- and if you allow yourself to escalate their choice too far, you lose. Never did understand that.

It gets worse too, when you realize that the police can escalate to basically any level they deem necessary.

Police brutality is very difficult to establish and they know it.

There are always two sides to a story. You don't know if this girl did not have somewhat of a record already... Also throwing water ballons and rocks are two different things. I am not saying that the police was right or wrong for that matter. I am just saying that we do not have all the facts to be making that judgment.
