First time to vegas, where to stay?
On Monday I am leaving good old Nova Scotia, gonna take the train across canada making stops in different cities along the way and after Vancouver I will be going to vegas. I have been looking at some things on the net but would like some input...I plan on staying 3 months in vegas, where is my best bet to stay? I will be playing 20/40 and up, any advise?

There's an Extended Stay America at approx. 4200 S Valley View Drive. Nice, clean, SAFE, inexpensive, and you can walk to the Bellagio.

Re: First time to vegas, where to stay?
If you're staying for three months, you might be better off with a corporate rental or furnished house with short-term lease. Especially if you will have transportation. You should be able to find something pretty nice and near the strip for $1,000 per month, which is probably cheaper than you could stay at any hotel or budget suites type of place. Check the furnished rentals in the classified section of reviewjournal.com (the vegas newspaper).
As far as the weekly rental type places go, I think the nicer places are at the south end of the strip. The Emerald Inn is the name of one (I think), but there is another that looks like a castle (not the excalibur hotel) -- I can't remember the name of it. Maybe someone else does. |
