Default Dutch Speaks Out on ZeroRake

Howdy all,

With all the talk starting up again about Dutch Boyd owning a part of Zero Rake, I decided to take it upon myself to ask Dutch directly to find out once and for all. This is what he said in his response.

"Hi XX,

No, I've never had anything to do with ZeroRake. They
pretty much ripped
off my idea of RakeFree, implemented it pretty poorly,
and failed miserably.
I do know the guy who is/was behind the site... a guy
named Jake Kalpakian
out of Vancouver. He runs a company called Las Vegas
From Home... I'm sure
if you gave them a call they'd let you know the same
thing.

I've got a little post on my blog about ZeroRake and
Gank if you care to
read it. Wish you the best in poker and everything
else...

Cheers,
Dutch"

Dutch also has posted a rebuttal to Gank's post on his blog http://www.dutchboyd.com/blog/blog.html.

Dutch Boyd never owned any part of ZeroRake, this proves it once and for all.

You asked an alleged thief and liar if he was still stealing and lying and he said no?

Wow, I feel much better now...

Surely you don't mean to imply that He would milead his loyal Blogees or is it Blog Heads? Rush Limpballs had Ditto Heads that believed every word he said so what would a avid folower of Dutch Boyd's Blog be called? (No profanity please!)

this proves it once and for all.

The only thing that your post PROVES is that you're an idiot.

But I do agree with you that it is possible that Gank wanted to mess with Boyd for some other reasons.

There was no stealing done with ZeroRake, the site is closed now. He gains nothing by lying in regard to his ownership.

Give me a break, it does not get any clearer then this. Do you need an email from God to confirm it as well?

Personally I think it'd be nice if the big guy took some time out of his schedule to tell everyone to stop beating a dead horse...also the winning lottery number.

You are trying to reason with the same people who think it's better to be getting a 20% rake kickback as opposed to not paying any rake.

On the other hand, do you think an industry sniffing one billion in revenue would quietly allow an industry killing concept to bare fruit without a smear campaign?

Then on the other hand, do you think the smug minions sharing 25% of the billion in revenues want to watch this concept in quiet desperation?

Good luck even mentioning the concept of not paying rakes in lieu of a $20 buck a month site membership. After all, we all know that the fish don't know about the effects of rake and don't care. They want a virtual party, and if it costs them ten, twenty, or thirty grand a year in rake, who cares?

So doesn't it make sense to just say Dutch Boyd is involved in any site that wants to eliminate rakes? Dutch is evil, therefore, not paying rakes is evil, therefore any sites that want to bring reason into online poker by charging a membership fee in lieu of rakes is EVIL.

If you are for such sites, you are a shill and a spammer. If you are not, you will be crucified just the same.

So good luck reasoning with these types here. It's an issue that can't be logically discussed because of greed. Greed does that to people.
