Default My one pair net is far into the red

I was looking through my miscellaneous stats in PT the other day, and noticed that my losses for single pair holdings are about four times my overall winnings. My sample size is very small, but is this something I should investigate?

Thanks

This is how Im doing. Would be interesting if more people could chime in and post there stats. I think this is the best way to see if you are running hot or not.

I am at 1BB/100 with these stats. EDIT: I play 6max.

I have just 25 more hands than this at a mix of $1 $2 full and $1 $2 6 Max. More at full ring though.

I have had a virtually identical spread of hands as you although you have a few more BIG hands than me! Can't show it but.

High card: 3,145 times, Saw flop 763 times, WSD 88 times, Net loss -$1,304

1 pair : 5,698 times, Saw flop 1,5747 times, WSD 399 times, Net loss -$1,525

2 pair: 2,405 times, Saw flop 745 times, WSD 359 times, Net win $550

Three of a kind: 535 times, Saw flop 203 times, WSD 101 times, Net win $923

Straight: 456 times, Saw flop 127 times, WSD 67 times, Net win $508

Flush: 262 times, Saw flop 89 times, WSD 63 times, Net win $571

Full house: 227 times, Saw flop 89 times, WSD 59 times, Net win $617

Four of a kind: 18 times, Saw flop 8 times, WSD 5 times, Net win $91

Straight flush: 1 time, Saw flop 1 time, WSD 0 times!!! Net loss -$1 This hand was yesterday and I folded my one card 3 high flush draw on the turn as only the 4 of hearts would be good for me and it came on the river!

Total win $429.51 which is much less than yours!

Full ring am I currently at 0.72BB/100 after 9,719 hands. This was due to a horrible start when bad cards had me at -.87BB/100 after 5k hands, I recovered to nearly 2BB/100 on Friday before dropping 80BB in a session yesterday, cold cards and beats again.

4,500 hands at 6 Max shows me at 2.87BB/100 which is much better.

I would say you are overplaying one pair. Over about 69K hands, I'm winning at 3+BB/100. My total winnings are $2200+ and I've only lost $2500 with one pair.

I believe it's more relevant to examine the results using only those hands that were not folded. If the showdown was visible to PT (but you folded along the way), I think PT counts the hand you would have obtained using the full board. That's uninteresting, since you weren't in the pot.

Click the box & make sure each line shows you a profit. If any are negative, there's a big leak to be found. If all are positive, that doesn't mean there aren't things you can do.

Hope this helps.

Make sure you click the button that says only non-folded hands. Otherwise you'll show a huge loss for one pair/ high card hands.

hm, true. Here are my stats(again 6max) with only hands that went to showdown. I am mostly concerned about the big hands since my sample is so small with those hands. I want to know if I am running hot or not.

This is a good point and you should definitely do it. You also need to look overall as well. It's possible to take a single pair too far on the flop or turn and then fold the river. Both stats have some meaning. I posted my overall stats above. If I only include hands I dind't fold, I've won $153 with high card and $2400 with one pair. All of this data is for $0.50/$1.

Thanks everyone for your input. I didn't even notice the checkbox at the top. I show a tiny profit at showdown for one pair.

I'm sorry for rehashing a "compare your stats" thread, but I'm also interested to see what your Winning Sessions % is. I'm at 43% (been running somewhat cold).

That coule be a problem as everybody plays differently session wise.

I'm at 45% but my average session .52 hour.
