Default AK on the bubble

Hi guys,

First post here. I’m just recently started playing SNGs, so I probably suck. Actually, forget about the probably.
Anyway, I got myself in trouble in a 55 just now. Here’s the hand:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t500 (4 handed) converter

SB (t590)
BB (t4060)
UTG (t1965)
Hero (t3385)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to t1500, 1 fold, BB raises to t4060 (All-In), Hero ???

FWIW, the BB had been pushing a lot but I didn’t have any real read on him.
I’m totally lost here. Should I fold this PF? Limp? Push?
I’m pretty sure I have to fold this after he pushes, right?

Push initially.

Your 3x BB raise is weak-tight and really bad. By pushing, you create the maximum FE, and don't let re-steals happen.

Once you start pushing initially here, the spot becomes much easier.

Your 3x BB raise was really, really bad. I think you have to call, BTW. Too many chips in the middle.

First of all, I wouldn't raise that much. In fact, with the shorty stack, I would fold this, and wait for him to bust out. I don't know if that is the wisest play, and maybe it's a part of my game that's flawed, I don't know.
The way you played this, I'd fold. You showed alot of strength, and he's risking almost all of his chips, and busting out, with one other player pretty much dead, and one well on the way. I'd think he has to have something good.
What a position.
If I'm wrong, someone please explain why. Thanks,Shooby.

Openpush preflop. With the shorty the BB is not going to want to go to war against you even though he has you covered. The problem is, a decent BB is going to push there with any two, since you will likely fold basically everything but TT+ (including AK) because of the shorty.

You go back in time and push instead of just raising.

it's 750 chips to you and you got an awesome hand. AUTOSHOVE IT. Big stack aint gonna call real often and even if he does he could call with AQ so it's +++EV for you either way and if it turns out he had aces don't worry about it and move on to the next game.

push like everyone else said

one "good" thing about this is bb might push any A here figuring you're folding cause SB has <1 BB so you might actually get in sickly good shape if you win this, but it's not worth this risk in future

Thanks everyone.

I called. He showed me AQ (and sucked out on me. But I guess that’s what made me think about the hand instead of just raking in the pot, so it’s all good).
