Default Turned flush, river pairs the board

1k 6max on empire

villian in this hand seems reasonable. only previous history between us is a hand where i pushed on the turn and he says he folded 99 (which was an overpair to the board).

i have 1300. he has me covered.

2 limpers. i limp in the co with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. button limps. sb folds. bb checks. 5 ways for $55

flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checked to me and I bet $35. Button raises to $80. Everybody folds. I call. HU for $215

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check. He bets $80. I raise to $280. He calls. HU $775 or so in the pot.

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check. He pushes all in. I fold.

It sucks... but I like river fold. I think you need to blast this turn. A monster raise to ~400-450? Maybe I'm a little crazy cause I'm tired as hell at work... but I like to screw with my opponents heads, and he will be thinking "Does he really raise this big with a flush?"

Later,
-Ace

interesting hand. If he is a reasonable player, I find it tough to believe that he limped on the button with any decent ace. I will try the blocking bet on the river here and fold to a raise.

The way you played it, It looks like a fold.

Definitely a fold on river.

I would c/r turn at least pot, to 450 ish. I might c/r all in on turn, maybe he puts you on nut flush draw/bluff/awkward two pair and calls with his set of 2's/straight/smaller flush.

The problem is, you can get pushed off by worse hand here; if you let him know you want to play on turn, you may get it in.

Were you planning on calling a 2/3 pot-sized bet?

The way it was played I would fold the river since it looks pretty obvious that Villain has 22, AT, A2. His small bet on the turn was kind of weird though.
