also, i would wait until tommrow and look in sundays paper for the advertisements and buy one of the ones on sale.

my dad has a 51" hitachi that he got for about $2000. the picture is really nice and hitatchis are always priced pretty low. supposedly they use the same parts as the more expensive mitsubishis.

HDTV is a must! You can get a 50 inch LCD or DLP HDTV for about $2,500.

Seem decent? Know of anything better in same price/size range.

The thing is I don't watch enough TV to justify the 3k++ I would spend on a 60" screen. 1.5kish is about all I would want to spend.

Besides the size any comments on that TV?

You can probably find a solid 47-50" CRT RPTV for ~1.5k. As long as you have decent light control, the picture is excellent. I suggest looking at Panasonic and Hitachi, or going to avsforum.com.
