Default where to play in vegas?

i just started playing omaha/8 more seriously, and i have been doing very well at it. i'll be going to vegas in the near future to play some hold'em, and i figured i might want to play a little omaha/8 too if i can find a table that suits my bankroll. what are the lowest limits? are they mostly kill games? with the rake being as high as it is, is it even worth it to play a split pot game below 10/20? thanks for the help.

I was in vegas a few months ago, first off not all poker rooms are spreading omaha/8. I think the lowest limit I found was 5/10 w/kill. I'm thinking that was at the Belagio, but maybe it was MOnte Carlo, can't remember as that trip involved a lot of alcohol

Although I've never played higher than 5/10, the typical players (from my experience) SUCK. Therefore, yes it's worth playing under 10/20.

thanks for the info. I could most likely handle playing 5/10, but NOT with a kill. btw, im in the seattle area and i have NEVER seen a 5/10 game spread out here. what chips are used? $1's and $5's? or $2.50's?

The Orleans has 10/20 and 4/8/8 games going when I was there. The 10/20 has a half kill.

Yeah, 1's and 5's. Even with a kill, all you need is approx $200-$250 to cover variance.

LA has several casino's that spread from 2/4-10/20, I think I've even seen a 20/40 but that's way above my bankroll at this point. Depending on when you go (weekend/weekday) you might be able to find a casino that spreads 3/6 in Vegas.

anyways...good luck!

Is this Orleans 10/20 on a time charge or is it raked?
What is the time charge/rake?

Thanks

I was in Vegas last fall.

Mirage has 5/10 with a kill.
Bellagio was not getting off any small O/8 games when I was there. Smallest was 20/40.
Orleans had a 4/8 game but I'm pretty sure that had a kill.
Binion's used to have a 4/8 game with a half kill (becomes 6/12).

I can't think of anywhere else that regularly spreads O/8 in Vegas.
