"We fire our customers is a colorful way of putting it," said ING Direct's Kuhlmann. "While the banking business says the customer is always right, we're online guys and you can only do business with us in a certain way."

The only explanation is that he is drunk.

Yeah, it was so great when Granny started 20 threads a week about vibrators and gabyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy screamed constantly about how online poker is rigged. That never got old.

IMO, it's just as "diluted" now as ever.

Move over Party, you have competition for the worst customer service...

And if you're looking to have your hand held, online accounts are not for you. ING Direct, for instance, closes an average of 3 percent to 4 percent of accounts a month, when customers require too much personal service.

"We fire our customers is a colorful way of putting it," said ING Direct's Kuhlmann. "While the banking business says the customer is always right, we're online guys and you can only do business with us in a certain way."

TO OP,

there is a goverment regulation (reg D), that limits the amount of withdrawl's to six in a statement period for all "savings" accounts. You can have more but there is a reaction.. dda account (checking is not limited)...usualy a fee for each additional and a warning, another and then closure. You can re-open an account as many times as you want...you can have as many accounts as you want ....just not more than six per statement...........Did I shed any light or mis-read your post.
