10-20 JJ
Villain seems reasonable. He's semi-tag but doesnt raise preflop as much as he should and isnt quite as agressive as he should be. I havent seen him stealing much, but he hasnt had a lot of chances to.
The game is 10-20full. Hero is dealt black jacks in the Big Blind. Villain opens on the button. Hero 3bets. Villain calls. Flop comes A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero bets, villain calls. Turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero checks. Villain bets. Hero calls. River is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks. Villain bets. Hero calls. I dont normally play that passively, but I thought id give it a go in these circumstances. edit: thats not a rainbow flop |

Re: 10-20 JJ
I have been trying to find times where this line works well. A lot of places it puts you in a pretty awkward spot on the river. I think lower pairs check through on the river a lot here. I would probably just bet the turn.

Re: 10-20 JJ
part of my thinking is that by doing this I:
1) avoid bluff raises on the turn 2) maybe get more value out of low pps depending on how well they value bet 3) maybe induce a bluff bets from the opponents unimproved hand edit- I dont really like number 2 once I think about it here, since they are calling anyways likely. |

Re: 10-20 JJ
Also, for3) A TAG does not peel this flop without a pair or flush draw. It does avoid getting bluff raised though, but I think they would probably check the river through once you call the turn.

Re: 10-20 JJ
With the size of the pot its relatively expensive to find out when he actually has an ace and when he does not and hes fos on the turn. With an ace he will fire the river again and it will cost even more. However, I dont have a note on him that says "multistreet bluffs in BSB", so I dont know if he can fire the river on air.
Also, from his perspective, it looks like I might have an ace, since he hasnt been stealing all too much for me to start raising him back out of the big blind. |
