Default AKo Party 1/2

Hello,
I recently moved up to 1/2 and have had pretty much broke even over 3900 hands. I know that folks describe it as "weak tight" but I have seen nothing to indicate the "weak" part. This is very typical of my hands - I get a good holding, have a favorable flop, but other players show aggession. Should I have been more aggressive on this hand? Should I have dumped it somewhere?

In this hand MP2 is loose and sometimes has poor judgement. MP1 was newer to the table and to me. Given the action I had a hard time putting them on hands - trip A's or trip Qs seemed possible, Qs more likely given the preflop action. However, Ax was also possible, and then it is likely that x is > 8.

Preflop seemed straight forward to me and I was glad nobody capped. Flop looked good, but when it was 2 back to me I didn't know where I stood, especially with MP2 making the 3-bet, so I ended up just check calling down.

Thanks for any advice

If 3-bet back, what do I do? Call and fold unimproved?

Really depends on your exact read. I would probably call down if it was 3-bet back to me.

I agree that it does seem difficult to put either MP1 or MP2 on hands.
You dont know much about MP1 and MP2 could have a variety of hands, such as pairs from AA to 99,or AKs,AQs,KQs,QJs,AJs, or AKo,AQo,AJo,KQo etc. or maybe even something else.
I would have felt inclined to call down in the same way that you did also.

I'm new to the forums but am venturing a reply because everyone insists it's the only way to learn (more specifically, to learn you're wrong). I thought calling down looked good, because the pot is too big to fold, but MP2 seems to like his hand.

So my question is, how can you CR even when you don't know where you're at? (not rhetorical, I mean really, what situations?)

Also, I'd say you can't fold to a 3-bet. You're getting 17-1 and I'm not 95% sure you're beat. (Is this painfully wrong thinking?)

Both MP1 and MP2 had AQo. Glad to hear that I played it OK though. I have gotten beat on a lot of these type things. I have pretty much chalked it up to typical variance and this was the one where there was the most evidence that my hand was no good.
