BB Play Against Steal Raises

How do these standards look as a general guideline for defending the BB against a Steal Raise (to be adjusted a bit based on the individual players)?

Raise: AA-99, AKs-ATs, AKo-AQo, KQs-KJs

Call: 88-22, A9s-A2s, AJo-ATo, KTs-K9s, KQo-KTo, QJs-Q9s, QJo-QTo, JTs-54s, JTo, J9s-75s, J8s-85s

I'm doing a lot of calling and check-raising/raising. It also depends on how much I actually believe villain is stealing as opposed to just raising his normal hands and happens to be in position.

Your non-suited hands look pretty reasonable. I might re-raise 88 and fold 33 and 22, but we're quibbling on the edge.

You're playing a lot more suited hands than I would. I'm assuming this is h/u against one opponent. Hands like 75s need a lot of help to win. Even if you flop two more of the suit or A46, you're still trying to hit at best a 35% draw. Otherwise his overcards or pair are good. And if you hit the flush, don't expect to get paid for it.

Position matters, too. If it's the SB that raised, you'll be last to act and can pick up some pots by betting gnarly flops regardless of what you've got. That argues for your broader range. If the raiser is anyone else, you're first to act. Make allowances for having to play the rest of the hand from bad position. Flops like KJ5 for your 75s are no fun at all from early position.

I think they're pretty loose. Hand like KJ and A9s are problematic. We can get a little looser if the guy is open-raising a lot of hands on the button. I'm just a tight blind.

I will add that the PP's 55 and up are reraises and have a lot of SD value HU.
