Bodog 27+2 MTT: KK vs chip leader
reads:
- tourney chip leader in BB has made some loose calls and hit some big hands (~20000 chips) my image - tight (~7000 chips) blinds 150/300 100 out of 400 or so players remain; top 45 get paid; I am playing for final table I get KK utg + 1 and raise to 1000. Folds to chip leader in BB who calls. Flop 665r checks to me, I bet ~2000. turn is an 8, putting 2 spades on the board checks to me, I figure almost 1/2 my chips are in the pot so I feel I am committed and push all-in, half hoping he'll call with a draw and miss to double me up BB calls with A6o and I miss my miracle K on the river Anyway to not lose all my chips on this hand? Help me to play it better? Or just chalk it up to bad luck? |

Don't post results.
Don't post bad beats (in this forum, at least). Don't be results-oriented. DO go broke with that hand everytime. |

Re: Bodog 27+2 MTT: KK vs chip leader
not meant to be a bad beat; just wanting advice if I should have played more cautiously versus the loose guy who could bust me - thanks though for the advice that I should risk going broke on the hand

Re: Bodog 27+2 MTT: KK vs chip leader
Please don't post results.
I raise less preflop at the t150/t300 level on Bodog (with any hand, not just because you happen to want a call this time). My standard raise here is to t800 as I find that that's get about as much respect as a t1k bet and is cheaper. In general, as the blinds get bigger relative to the average stack, your raises relative to the blinds can get smaller. I like the pot bet on the flop. I might check behind on the turn, but only with the intention of calling his river push. If he bets less than all in on the river, I might just call, but probably push hoping for a call from a smaller PP or 45,A5. |
