Default DJ\'ing on a computer

my brother is getting into DJ'ing on his laptop. i'm looking to buy him a christmas present. ideally it would be a book on the topic, but i'm open to other suggestions (i'm getting him a couple CDs already).

i think he's got software that he's pretty well set up with, and i think it'd be tough for me to figure out a better option for him.

What about a subscription to a hiphop magazine so he can keep on top of music as it comes out?
