Default Instant Deposit...Sloooooow withdrawl...Unite in protest??!!

You've asked yourself this, I know.

Why is it that online sites can accept your deposit from Neteller, Firepay ect. within 30 seconds but they make you wait 24-72 hours OR MORE when you want to withdraw your winnings to these same sites?

Obviously, motivation is key. It seems also that they might want to hold the amount you withdraw in the hopes that you'll need it to play more before it clears their grasp.

I know I could get booted off online play for this and doubt I have the energy to organize such a demonstration but what if we all, 2+2ers and others, threaten a 1 day boycott of online play if sites don't speed up their withdrwal times to, say, 12 hours?

Or perhaps someone could point me to a site that has as good a fish/Sharks ratio as DoylesRoom but speedier accounting? ;~)

some one told me that when u deposit, the sites will give u the benifit of doubt that the money is on the way and let u play with the "money" in ur account. banks tend to not be so leanent. makes sense to me, but i have no proff and would appreciate it if the cash out times were faster.

The motivation is security.

Obviously sites do not want fraud, money laundering, chip dumping or outright cheating on their sites. However, they can't tell anything about a deposit - they obviously have no data on what's been deposited there except where it came from and how much it is.

However, when it comes to cashing out, they can tell exactly where the money's gone to and come from within their program, they can see who won, who lost, how they won and lost, and so on. These checks obviously take some time, and so cashouts take longer than deposits.

So why can Poker Stars cash me out to NETeller in about 2 seconds? I understand the security thing, but security is not ALWAYS an issue. If I'm cashing out a comparatively small amount (say, no more than double my last deposit with a ceiling of $1000), why can't it be done at the same speed as the deposit? And even with the security excuse, there's no way some of my cashouts -- always to NETeller, the same place the deposit came from -- need to take 3 or 4 days. I'm a small player and have never cashed out more than $1000 at once or more than $1500 from one place in a month. If I was moving $10k I could understand, but I'm toward the low end of the spectrum. Many of the sites are just being lazy on this because there's no profit for them in cashing people out quickly.

I do think boycotts in general are of little use, particularly broad boycotts. A boycott targetted against a specific site with sufficient opportunity for the site to address the issue first might have some effect.

Because they are basically reversing your last Neteller deposit. You might notice if you deposit $400 and then cashout $450 that you will get $400 instantly, and it might take a day or two for the other $50.

Yes, but other sites should at least do this as well.

Stars does everything better than everyone.

If you could get rakeback there many of these other places wouldn't exist.
