Default Laser Jamming

LIDAR, LIght Detection and Ranging is used to catch speeders the same way RADAR is. however, LIDAR can be effectively detected and jammed by a handful of products. these LIDAR jammers are legal in most states but not in Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Washington DC. in California, operation of a LIDAR jammer is an infraction.

i've searched and searched but i can't find out what the penalty is for operating a LIDAR jammer. how can i figure out what the penalty is?
