Default Raise with AK, raise after flop and get reraised. What to do?

I'm curious if I played this wrong. I figured possible outs were AK5, but after I got re-raised I was unsure of the hand. An afterthought is that he may have came in with A5 and flopped a straight. However I wasn't thinking that at the time figuring he had pocket pair and may have flopped trips or overpair to the board. If I put him on pocket pair then was my fold a mistake given the pot odds? If he flopped the straight or trips then a good lay down? I'm looking for advice as to my overall play of this hand. Thanks for your time.

Not calling a re-raise when you have absolutely nothing, is, in my humble opinion, a good play.

In that case was my raise a mistake? I figured I had 10 outs (AK5) and doubted anyone stayed with 6x for a higher straight. Since I figured I had so many outs I wanted to raise hoping to snag the pot right there if possible (I figured the flopped missed everyone since it was all low cards), but at the same time I didn't want to give odds to anyone going on a flush draw.
