Default Results Analysis and Advice? (My First Post)

Hi All!

I've been playing poker the "right" way for the last several years, reading all the books, and lurking like a madman on these forums. Before I started visiting this forum, I had know idea was an ROI or ITM was, and didn't understand why anyone would track their results.

I know better now, and just finished my first 500 Sit-N-Go's. I'd like to post my results, and possibly get some advice for the future.

ROI = 21.41%
ITM = 39.83%
1 = 68
2 = 68
3 = 58

This is all playing the $5.50 turbo's on UB. From the numbers I have seen, these are decent results. Anything specifically that should be better?

Based on the general consensus of this forum, I have been gradually switching to Party. I've played about 50 $6's with good results. However, since Party charges $1 for their $5's (as opposed to $.50 from UB), this would noticeably decrease my ROI, right?

Because of the entry fee's, I was thinking about playing $11's. Are my UB results an indicator that I can beat the $11's on Party? I only have about 25 buy-ins I could devote to $11's. Is that sufficient to withstand the risk of ruin? Thanks in advance for any responses, except the sarcastic or mean ones.

Crew

Yeah, switch to the $11's. Your numbers are plenty good enough. 21% ROI at $5 tourneys is, frankly, only okay. However, they are turbo's, so a lower ROI/higher hourly rate is to be expected. With 500 under your belt, beating the Party $11's should be no problem. In fact, I bet after 500 of those, you'll probably be ready for the $20s.

i don't know much about the stats... and these are just a couple of them anyways... but they look good to me... good 1/2/3 dist...

ppl will tell you that your sample size is a bit small... and it is for a solid lock on the roi...

get out of the 5+1's.. paying 20% rake is suck...

10+1's are the same thing... if you can beat the 5's you can beat the 10's...

Thanks for the advice guys!
PS - I plan on 4 - 8 tabling, if that raises concerns about my limited bankroll.

You're ROI may seem low but it's the rake and the fact that you're playing turbos. N1

8 tabling the 5s or 10s seems a bit silly. Play 4 tables or fewer and try to improve your poker, not your mouse skills. Then move up.
