Default Vegas Trip Report...Return from Suckout City...Partial rant

What started as a 5 day trip turned into an 8 due to missing my flight back, Delta was so booked it took 2 extra days to get a couple seats. Not that I'm complaining but I don't think I could of done any more time in Vegas. I now need a vacation from my vacation.
Stayed at the Tropicana, very cheap and the place reflects the price, outdated and to put it bluntly, it smelled bad throughout. The best part of the Trop is the pool, basically a big party everyday.
Played at the following: Trop, MGM, Excalibur, Luxor, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Aladdin.
To me, the nicest room by far was the MGM, followed by the Bellagio, Monte Carlo, the rest are really the same room in different casinos, with the exception being the Trop which was like playing in your buddies basement.
Played daily, mostly 4-8 games with about 4 sessions of 1-2 NL. The juiciest NL game was definitely the Trop, best limit game was the 3-6 at MGM, totally clueless tables for the most part. I play at Foxwoods, average is about 35 sessions a yr split between the 5/10 and 10/20. I haven't played less than 5/10 live in 3 years and had forgotten how frustrating it could be. I can honestly say that the number and frequency of suckouts I witnessed got to be comical which is to be expected when most flops are seen by 6 players. I would have played higher stakes but would have had to go all the way to the Bellagio and beyond everyday to find games higher than 4/8. The NL games were good at the Trop and MGM but seeing 15 hands an hour gets pretty boring after a while. Between 7pm and 10am there was usually 2 extemely drunk players at each table, slowing things down to a crawl. It's probably pretty obvious that as far as poker is concerned I did not enjoy my trip and would much rather play at Foxwoods than Vegas. My advice would be to forget the low limit games offered in most rooms and commit to playing NL.
Stop reading now if you don't want an accounting of the most frustrating suckouts I endured at each room. I understand that suckouts are part of the game but seeing them every third hand was tough to take.
MGM 4/8: Live straddle, I 3 bet my Kings, one cold caller behind me and the straddler calls. Flop is something like J-5-2 rainbow. Straddler bets, I raise, cold caller calls, turn card is a blank, check from straddler, I bet, cold caller calls, river is a 2, straddler checks, I bet, cold caller raises, fold from straddler, I call. My Kings are beat by 5-2 offsuit.
Monte Carlo 4/8 Kill: Kill pot, loose raiser ahead, I 3 bet Aces, one cold caller behind. Blah, blah, blah. I lost to the cold callers 9-2.
Bellagio 4/8: I Raise from middle position w/ KQ suited, two callers plus the BB. Flop comes K-Q-4. Check to me, I bet, get raised from button, I re-raise, get called. Turn is a blank, I bet and get called, river is a 4, I bet, get raised from button, I call and lose to 10-4 offsuit.
Excalibur 2-6 spread: I make it $18 to go w/ QQ, get cold called behind and end up losing to cold callers 6-2.
Tropicana late night 2/4 waiting for a NL game to start: Big pot, lots of raising, I bet the river with TPTK. Remember this is a 2/4 game, the button thinks a bit, then proceeds to cut and count all $120 of his chips, thinks a bit more, then calls the $4 bet, shows down 7-3 for two pair and the win.
Luxor 2/4: It was the only game offered. No bad beats because the game was so bad and passive that hardly anybody would call a raise.
Alladdin 3/6: Just bad and boring. showdowns more often that not would be w/ Q-4 or 10-3. Just bad poker.
