Default Got called a moron, but who is the real moron?

Earlier today in a thread about general PLO8 strategy, I posted 2 hands informally where I pushed hard first in and obvious even money worst case hand and once as a slight favorite. In both hands I got called a total fish and my brokeness was predicted to be forthcoming. Now I bring you the icing on the cake. A hand where I got told by virtually every player on the table what a sucker I was on how I played this hand. View the full action here
Now that flop play may look terribly questionable, but lets explore the numbers: With all 4 hands as they were (i.e. in the main pot)

http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1320862
pokenum -o8 9s 8d kd 9d - 7d 4s as 2d - 8c 6c ah 2s - 8h jh 6s 7h -- 9c 6d 5s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 528 enumerated boards containing 5s 9c 6d
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
9s Kd 9d 8d 98 190 306 32 0 0 0 0.283
As 4s 7d 2d 6 21 507 0 110 0 247 0.247
2s 8c 6c Ah 6 38 458 32 0 110 247 0.169
6s Jh 8h 7h 61 247 249 32 0 297 0 0.302

I wasn't the favorite, but I had more than 0.25 equity in the pot to make calling the push likely +EV. How about the large side pot?

http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1320865
pokenum -o8 9s 8d kd 9d - 7d 4s as 2d - 8c 6c ah 2s -- 9c 6d 5s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 666 enumerated boards containing 5s 9c 6d
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
9s Kd 9d 8d 197 417 179 70 0 0 0 0.487
As 4s 7d 2d 27 140 526 0 126 0 330 0.328
2s 8c 6c Ah 7 39 557 70 0 126 330 0.185

Thats right folks I am getting almost half the equity in a 3 way push. I also feel that there is a good chance the other 2 players showing weakness will fold often to this huge raise. Still, this move could be dangerous if one of the other big stacks has the straight as well, so lets switch the hands of the shortstack and one of the larger stacks and look at my equity:

http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1320874
pokenum -o8 9s 8d kd 9d - 7d 4s as 2d - 8h jh 6s 7h -- 9c 6d 5s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 666 enumerated boards containing 5s 9c 6d
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
9s Kd 9d 8d 116 247 375 44 0 0 0 0.289
As 4s 7d 2d 28 28 638 0 476 0 0 0.383
6s Jh 8h 7h 68 347 275 44 0 390 0 0.328

Now I am taking the worst of it in the large side pot, but I would chalk this up to advertising. Plus, given the action I was fairly sure shorty had the nut straight and that the other big stacks were on drawing hands that likely were tangled up. Also, with them coming in from early position I felt as if the nut straight with 78 was somewhat less likely while short stack had been playing everything all night. At any rate, I got my money all in with an overwhelming edge and got called a moron. Do I play it this way every time? No, with fewer people in the pot I will often have to fold the flop, but here is a spot where huge action without the nuts will probably get me action on later hands even though I am getting in with solid value.

Is this supposed to be readable? This may be the worst post I've ever seen.

Obviously, this is not the standard way to play this hand. This should usually be folded against the first raise on the flop. I posted this hand, because I think my line is unusual and turned out to be extremely +EV in this particular situaiton. The key is the number of players in the pot. I don't think people realize that top set has at least about 30% equity on almost all flops (except flops with 3 low cards), so if you can get all in 3 way you are going to be very neutral EV wise at worst, but can make for some great advertising as I admit that this does look like a bit of a sucker play on the surface. I think the push when the action comes back to me was obviously correct and that in fact the 2 morons with nothing but nut low draws clearly should have folded. Had this happened, I get supermoron's minraise and end up seeing a more than $24.00 pot to the river for 3 dollar's with around 30% equity.

By the way Phil, you know my screen name, and you are welcome to come play with me whenever you like.

I missed the link to the hand the first time and couldn't figure out what his hand was.

Now that I see the hand my only comments... I don't know much about 899K ss in midposition. Too junky a hand to consider playing.

To the poster... the other players are fools. Playing a hand preflop with no chance of low and, a King high flush draw with you already blocking one of your outs... a hand that rarely will be worth much of anything unless you hit your 9 and there's not a higher set/there's no flush draw or straights.... Good thing you didn't fold that monster. Good play, my friend.

Did you read the fkin HH? He was in the BB. Cooker, I like it; I wouldn't get in the habit of looking for ways to get all-in w/ a set on a coordinated 2-to-a-low board, but this seems like a good spot to do it. Plus, erring on the side of being too aggressive is IMO a good way to approach learning the game.

Actually... I misread it. I thought he limped in from middle position.

My apologies, Cooker.

It's a reasonable play.
