I hate this spot.... But with a huge amount of people behind you, plus a nice stack, I fold.

Reads?
With position, an all-in from the button seems quite likely and will be called by BB most of the time.
If I know the button won't make that play then I'd be tempted to limp and fold to any kind of raise, or fold any raise on a flop that doesn't help.

I often find myself pushing all in in similar situations on the 22s.

What exactly makes this spot a fold?

I generally understand the idea that you can steal blinds and not showdown rather than risk your tournament life on a middle pair. But if you went all in or called an all in with the eights, wouldn't that move also be positive over time becuase the eights figure to be the best hand out of the remaining players?

What's the thinking behind one course of action being more or less advantagous than the other? If this were a higher stakes tournament, say the 109s, would you play differently?
