I like Stars but....

...I have one problem with the software. I like to talk on Aim while i play poker, but whenever im typing and the action on a table is on me, i automatically start typing in the stars chat area.

I hope i explained that well enough. Is there a way to stop that from happening? Thanks

try posting this in internet or comp tech support. i'm sure there's a widget you can install so that the window of your choice or program of your choice either never loses focus or never steals focus.

I use Yahoo Messenger, and even though the Stars window jumps to the front, I can finish typing on yahoo messenger and hit enter, and the message goes.

I have this problem as well. I frequently accidentally type a bunch of random letters in the chat.

My AIM conversations consist almost entirely of dirty jokes, so sometimes the word dildo just accidentally gets thrown out there.

Exactly. Party poker jumps in front of my IMs, but i can still finish typing. Stars doesn't allow it for me. I X-posted it in comp tech help, so hopefully i'll get some info on it. I'll keep you posted.

use the setting under general-->focus: prevent applications from stealing focus

the window will no longer pop up when it's your turn and steal focus from your aim chat

That would slow the action, and I wouldn't like that.
