I think Gamblor used to, now he's in Canada.

The folks in the Politics forum may know a few others, if there are any.

Default Does Israel Tax Poker Winnings?

Just curious about this one. Does Israel tax poker winnings from online play?

FWIW, my wife is an Israeli and over 90% of her relatives reside there, so who knows what the future holds.

As far as I know any winings (lottery, sport gambling...) are taxed 30%. Although there are no casinos in Israel and you cant go to the Israel IRS and tell them youre a gambler. I doubt any gamblor ever pays taxes on its winning in Israel. I persoanlly dont make enough but once in a while I use the Neteller debit card and it works fine. I think the only real problem would be once you wanna take a big chunk of money and make it legit. Then you might have to talk to the Israely IRS but I dont really know.

Summerizing Oficiall yes 30%. On practice I would say no

I was born there (Givatayim, TLV suburb just east of the city). Moved to Canada with family, came back to live in TLV for a bit of high school, then went back to canada to do university instead of army.

I plan on going back this summer, but i have to arrange to avoid jail.

I left 6 mos. into service after high school so they'll let me come back only if i finish it... which i can do when im older and then do reserves.
