I will be on to finding a new forum where people have a better life than to sit on there and make fun of people for asking questions.

[/ QUOTE ]

You ask a stupid question- you get berated for it. This is how 2+2 works.

Hate to jump to OP's defense but it's not really that stupid of a question. Most people aren't fluent in betting systems. Considering how many books/videos/websites pass these systems off as gold is it really that remarkable that people would think that they work?

Props to the OP for coming to this forum to ask the experts. Some of us learn this lesson in far more expensive ways.

You probably downloaded a virus along with that [censored].

You know I've been trying to figure this out. Some joke I'm missing? Inadvertently posted under my post, replying to someone else? Should I even care?

I don't know...but surely it is not same lame comment about bj21.com and that founders of that website have no clue about blackjack...surely that's not the intent of your response?

I bet that last all-or-nothing bet is exciting though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even better when on your max-bet hand you get dealt AA or 11 against a dealer 6-up and can't split/double-down because your house wasn't worth enough and the kidney you sold only netted you a huge scar and $50k (which you lost on the previous hand)

but with that being very unlikely to happen, I don't see what the problem with this system is, please help.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is exactly the problem. This betting system is called a small Martingale and is the oldest and dumbest system known to man. Sure, you will win your one lousy bet most of the time. But the odd time that you DO hit 9 straight losses (or whatever) is utterly disastrous.

Thats so true. The adage "there is no such thing as a dumb question" only holds true for about half the posters. The rest like to flaunt their knowledge and your lack of it.

Why dont you bet 1, 10, 100, ... ? Then you will be paid from the set {-BR, 1, 9, 89, 889, 8889,...} ! Even better than winning one unit!
