Default A few tournaments hands, advice please?

Two hands i wasn't too sure about, the first one i think is ok, the last one is the one i want advice for.

Stage #147827053: Holdem Multi Normal Tournament No Limit $250 [ 2005-06-30 23:21:56 ]

EDDIE12345 - Ante $50
WOLTERS - Ante $50
BRAT513 - Ante $50
RBGAMBLER - Ante $50
DAVID1213 - Ante $50
CPT2711 - Ante $50

DAVID1213 - Folds
CPT2711 - Folds
RENNUG - Folds
BULLSEYENO1 - Folds
BIG DOOG - Calls $2120
EDDIE12345 - ?????

So its $1870 to call, and the way big doog is playing, if i hit the flop, i can get his last 4k. This call is fine? The table started insulting me for calling here with 89o

***********

Ok this is the hand that bothered me. We are down to 12 players, top 27 were paid so we are in the money, but obviously playing for first. Currently im second in chips, but at the other table there are about three stacks around 35-30k.

The villian has moved to our table about 2 orbits ago. I've raised 4 hands in this time, twice were steals with junk that i won uncontested, one i raised AQo on the button and small stack bb pushes and its an easy call and he doubles up with AK, and the other i had KK and knocked out someone who had 99. Im fairly sure the table thinks im tight as ive not had to show down a bluff nor have i had to fold to a reraise.

Villan hasn't done much, raised 3/4 times preflop and won, and when a 10k stack raised his blind, he min raised and called the small stacks push with 95s and doubled up the small stack.

I didn't want to fold this when i got min raised as i've just seen him do it with 95s, and i also didn't want the table thinking a min raise will get me to fold my hand. Now i've actually hit top pair, and he leads. What do i do now?

This is one of the best flops that you could hope for (except something crazy and improbable like 2-pair or better). If you are not prepared to push this flop, you should not be in the hand.

Personally, I wouldn't have been in the hand. I prefer to steal with total garbage so I don't have to consider calling the preflop raise. Also, I'd rather maximize my chances that my cards are live if called - your Q may be dead. What I really disagree with in your line is where you claim that you wouldn't want people thinking that you would fold preflop to a miniraise. In this stage in the tourney, you are foolish to think that any believes that you have never stolen a pot. Second, you may get popped when you raise with a good hand and you can either set up a trap or push. Third, even if someone does miniraise thinking you are on a steal, the stacks happen to be deep enough to re-steal, though not by much.

I would raise any 2 cards here, im not raising to hit top pair as such, im raising to steal the blinds. If i had AA or 23o id have made the same raise. Thing is, should i have folded preflop when he min raised, and now i've seen this flop, im playing this out for all my chips right?
