Default Re: 20/40 AA river decision: bet or check

Check call is fine, bet fold is fine. I think if he's capable of checking behind some hands we beat or bluffing the lone Ad on the river, I would check, because if it's possible he will bet as a bluff here, he may raise as a bluff raise and that would suck. I don't really think you want to put two bets in on this river.

You bet this river because he will NOT raise better hands and most often check behind with worse, but he will call with worse.

A raise will most often be a bluff, so that's an easy call!

hes a big fav to have either AQ, or AdKx, so u really need to bet. let him pay u off.

if he raises, that is prob gonna be KK, but this board is so horrific, it might inspire ppl to take a shot... so id call.

meh lots of contradicting opinions here...I'm glad to hear my turn bet is fine, but I still really am not convinced either way on the river. Calling a raise feels so ugly on this board...anything that makes it to the river that raises me has got to have me beat, maybe?

I bet, he called and won with KQ.

would love some more input, maybe with some mathematical analysis?
