Default Runner Runner Top Two

$1000 NL Live Game

Hero has AQs on button. Min raised and 3 callers including hero.

Flop: 7,2,4 rainbow
Checked around

Turn: A
check, check, CO bets $50 ($95 in pot), hero calls (throw in a hundred chip intending to raise, but forgot in live games thats a call if you don't say anything).

River: Q, no flush
CO checks, hero bets $100, CO Raises to $300, hero calls.

I had intended to check through the river but when I hit top two I bet. Can I fold to this raise?

Results below:

Villian has 53 for wheel.

Turn min. raise is bad because you don't know whether or not you have the best hand, and doesn't make him commit any more money to the pot even if you do.

River is standard.

If he had a weaker ace he would call my min raise. He would probably do this with a better hand as well, and if he re-raised it's an easy laydown. I wanted to be able to check through on the river.

I might've reraised preflop.

The c/r is a tough call.

Unless I have a read thinking villan is a rock, I call in a live game without too much thought and wouldn't be that surpried to see aces up.

I considered it. However, I knew I would get callers, and I wasn't sure where I stood. Didn't want to deal with a huge pot and several people to the flop.

I actually like the turn mini raise, then check thru on river.

As it was played, you feel as if you can't check the river, then its very tough to fold to check raise, even tho your gut is telling you to do so.
