PP, irrational bet
Hand converter's messed up, so sorry if it's hard to read.
NL Texas Hold'em $5 + $1 Level:4 Blinds(50/100) Seat 1 is the button Total number of players : 8 Seat 5: Mounties26 ( $2145 ) Seat 6: Hero ( $1215 ) Seat 2: husker20131 ( $695 ) Seat 7: jacknjoker ( $780 ) Seat 1: Edgy811 ( $570 ) Seat 3: Villain ( $1500 ) Seat 10: Fisha ( $610 ) Seat 9: Stripeny ( $485 ) Trny:17332109 Level:4 Blinds(50/100) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ 8d 8c ] 1 fold. Hero raises [250]. 6 folds. Villain calls [150]. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 6h, Qd, 5c ] Villain bets [1000]. Hero??? My thinking: either 1.) he has made a strong hand and does what I do sometimes when I make a strong hand which is bet irrationally to get a weaker hand to call 2.) he caught a piece of the flop (draw, midpair) and is playing like people do in the $6s. Do you think Type 2 Players outnumber Type 1 Players enough to make this a profitable call? Or is my concept of Type 2 Players incorrect? And yeah, the PF bet was hyper weak. I was prepared to fold to a push by a significant stack. |
