Default Small stakes hold em, poor quality :(

The book in itself is great, the quality of the book is terrible though. After 2 months it's falling appart. Page after page is falling out and I have to glue them together again. Just a matter of time before I have 100's of pages floating around my desk.

Why the poor quality?

Yeah, sounds like a number of people have had their bindings fall apart on them. An alternative option to the glue is to get it sprial bound, someone at this thread was able to get them bound for $5 at Kinko's.

You must have missed the note on the inside cover...

"This book is not meant for deviant sexual acts or fraternity initiations."

2+2 books have always had this problem. They have improved the binding though. Apparently not enough though. My 1994 copy of HEFAP is falling apart. My copy of SSHE is good so far, but I am careful about how I open it.

Spiral binding them at kinkos looks like a great option.

What's it cost roughly to spiral bind SSHE? Do they cut the existing binding off there as well?

I got 7 of 9 of my poker books bound at Kinko's. I tend to take em with me when im working out (for the tredmill/bikes). Works great now that they are spiral bound. Good quality, and its great to have them open while playing poker as well. One thing to note though, not sure if this is the case with all Kinko's, but my local store had to keep them for 1 day. Just FYI.

Edit: Despite the $5 charge per book, somehow my total only ended up $32.41 after tax... short at least 2.59, no complaints. Maybe there is a "bulk" discount of sort.

Read this post yesterday and went out and "modded" two of my 2+2 books today. Cost $10.96 + $0.91 tax = $11.87 and it took them about an hour because they were busy. Looks very nice and it is much easier to flip through.

Bind Coil Bind No Cover (2.00 @ $3.99) = $7.98
Cutting per Cut (2.00 @ $1.49) = $2.98
+EV = Priceless

[The "Cutting" refers to the removal of the book's spine.]

very seriously considering doing this.

would be much easier to read while drinking coffee at a diner or sitting at my desk and playing a couple tables online.
