Quick aside: that Wizardofodds chart says to Surrender 16 against a 9-A and 15 against T and A. It also says to surrender 17 against an ace showing (!). Are these surrenders less -EV than the alternatives?

If Wizard of Odds says so, then its a safe bet that they are.
