Starting with $600 at $2-4 fixed limit, 6 month goal?
Starting at $2-4 fixed limit HE with $600, how much could a player be expected to win in a six month period if he goes up in limits whenever he has 150 big bets? You can assume the player as being a long term winning player and the play will be done online. Also I would estimate about 15 hours of playing time per week.
Anyone?

you don't really know. If you're running good you could make a few thousand, if you are running bad you could be broke in a week.

i personally think 150BB is enough for 2/4 b/c the players are so weak, but any higher you have to have 300 X the big bet. You obviously haven't played much online. Just play 2/4 until you have 3K then move to 3/6 and up. 2/4 is much easier than 3/6 or 5/10.

even strong players can easily have a -150BB slide. With $600 at 2/4, you run a fairly large risk of ruin.
$600 is enough for 1/2. At least, you should start at 1/2, then wait until you have $800 or $1000 before moving to 2/4. How much you could win depends on how many tables you can play at once. 1 hour = 60 hands at 1 tables. 4 tables is obviously 4 times as many. If you are a winning player, figure 2BB/100 hands played (feel free to flame away).

Of course, you can go bust if you hit a bad streak, but I think what you outlined is in line assuming the original poster is a decent player.

Just because someone has limited knowledge of bankrolling skills does not mean they are unable to beat the game. Hell I started out playing 3/6 with a 120$ bank roll and managed to build it up pretty large before excess spending and not keeping a dedicated poker bank roll caught up to me.

[/ QUOTE ] If they never learn the bankroll skill, and have no other way of replenishing one's roll, they won't beat the game. They will underroll themselves and go broke much more often than not. Regardless of how well they play against the competition. They will likely keep putting themselves in position to bust out. It is very likely the poster will bust out. That doesn't mean he automatically will. He may catch some cards and build. I did that knowing full well I was way against the odds to build my recent roll that I started with 8 bets. But one still should realize the reality of their situation in regards to bankroll. b
