Probably because a lot of people in OOT don't like politics talk in here. Plus, 2+2 has a specific forum for politics. I believe it exists primarily because people didn't want political discussions in the other forums.

This is very weird to me. I can't think of many reasons to beat the crap out of a 'stranger' with a bat, and none of those reasons have much of anything to do with politics.

I wanted to leave any type of political discussion out because there is another forum for that and that would make the topic "unfunny" (not that it was funny to begin with). People would just fight back and forth and say thinks like, "you are a liberal of course you think that" or "of course you voted for Pat Buchanan, you are a nazi", etc...

Also, of course I don't have a desire to beat the crap out of somebody with a baseball bat for 10 minutes. But, I thought my title was better than "two celebrities you really dislike".

I am now going to beat my self up for actually justifying my post to you.
