multitabling
There have been several threads in various forums recently discussing which game is more profitable in the long term for the skilled player, limit or no limit.
I guess it is fairly non controversial that, in general, no limit gives the skilled player an even greater advantage than limit. However, what is the relative effect on long term profitability for someone who plays say 3 or more tables at a time? Does one variation lend itself better to multitabling? Does this change the original profitability outlook? |

Re: multitabling
I multitable 4-8 tables of NL, and I believe Sponger does as well.
There are some pretty big swings when you get stacked a couple times in a short span, so I wouldn't say the variance is any less than limit. |

Re: multitabling
do you think it is more difficult to multi table at NL than at Limit?

Re: multitabling
i've tried to multi-table 6-max NL games. i've never played more than 2 and i think even 2 is hurting my game.
i could do it fine playing limit, but i was often playing 10-player. oh, and i was never very good at limit. |

Re: multitabling
It depends the type of player you are. My style is very TAGgish, so I don't see a lot of flops. When your VPIP is only 12%, 4-tabling is the equivalent of a fish playing one table with a VPIP of 50%. It takes some getting used to, but certainly doable. Eventually I'll pull a Sponger and find another monitor to play 8, but that's way down the road.
