Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
We already decided that he should have raised pre-flop, as was stated toward the end of the original post.

Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
Limping with a suited ace after 1 limper isn't the end of the world. I don't think it matter much at all.

Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
I'll take it to the river now. Flop raise seems solid, which is what Hero did, after which it still gets a little tricky:
flop J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, UTG all-in, Hero calls turn J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]; BB bets, Hero calls, 9+bb's river 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], for final board of: J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9.2ish bb's BB checks to Hero. Is this a clear check down? Side pot is like 3bb. |

Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
Yeah, I thought easy river check too, but for some reason by buddy bets and gets raised by BB. What is going on here?

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly, so my buddy wants to crawl away and die and folds only to be shown 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] by BB (complete miss) and K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] by UTG. Crazy BB check-raise bluffs on complete wiff for small side pot. Is he completely insane? Who does this? |

Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
[ QUOTE ]
A gambling LAG is not folding a better hand even if you offered to go all-in. Live players hate folding because after the hand they'd have to whine about what they folded and shake their head for the next 20 hands and complain about what a bad dealer this is. Also, even crap LAGs can tell when you're taking advantage of the guy with eight dollars left and will call with middle-pair-four-kicker because they hate you and their own life. I'd call because of the reasons Piiop stated. [/ QUOTE ] so what's your line for the rest of the hand? Improved: check/raise turn and go to war. Unimproved: check/call turn, bet/fold or bet/call river, depending on how truely LAGy our LAG is?. |

Re: Pair and good draw vs LAG and tilty small stack
We're in position. I think it's a pretty simple call on the turn, and fold on the river without improving.
