sounds like a must to do well.

what is HUD??

[/ QUOTE ]
Heads up display. It takes the poker tracker stats for the players you have played against and overlays them by the player at the table. As you play more hands against players or "mine" hands from them this information becomes more accurate.

good/successful limit player (30-60 to 80-160) wanting to play online. do i need to be using some type player tracker to track stats of other players to be a successful online player? is this only necessary for multi-talblers or is it a MUST for anyone looking to be successful online.

also, what sites are best for soft play and what software is good and easy to use to track and get stats on other players.

thanks

you should crosspost this if you can get away with it in the Mid-High Stakes and Software Forum as well.

you're saying online play in general is tougher than B&M (in higher limits)??????

[/ QUOTE ]

The games are tougher at all limits. But the reduced edge of the better player is more than made up for by being able to play multiple tables.

Please try not to use multiple question marks, it's very gay. Do you see why??????????????

When you start playing on-line there is some new things.

First I think you should buy Pokertracker and install pokeracehud.

Start at lower limit(i.e 10/20 $) you are used to, so you can get experience on on-line play.

Remember rakeback! Do not sign anywhere on-line without looking for rakeback deal.

Good advice. IMHO 5/10 does not = 30/60 BM. You get tourists from from 3/6 and some pretty bad regulars. I think 10/20 is more comparable. That said, start yourself off at 5/10 to get use to the speed of the game and playing devoid of any tells. Once you get used to it, you ought to be able to crush it.
