Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
[ QUOTE ]
this may be generally true but at the horsehoe in tunica, poker dealers are allowed to play poker at the end of their shift provided they i.d. themselves as such if asked. [/ QUOTE ] If the waistcoat and bow-tie dont give it away, the bagful of quarters and dollar chips they bring with them usually does. |

Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
[ QUOTE ]
I was playing in the Aladdin last year, when one of the players on my table cashed out and disappeared, only to reappear about 2 mins later to deal on the same table! [/ QUOTE ] I personally busted out about 4 off-duty Aladdin dealers in a $40 tournament there last week. Shortly after that I went card dead in the cash games. Coincidence? They babbled something about "autoshuffler" but I am unconvinced. |

Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
It's probably a good idea not to allow employees to gamble at their own poker room, just to avoid any potential sticky situations, but if everything is on the up and up, I'm cool with it.

[ QUOTE ] Brick and Morter casino employees cant play in the casino the work for. I think it should be the same way online [/ QUOTE ] They can in Tunica. [/ QUOTE ] Same when I was at the Sahara. I saw a bunch of them playing before their shifts. Hey AJ, is it true that Mikey is a piece of [Censored]? |

Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
It's different at a B&M casino, I wouldn't have any problems with that.
Online is a different matter though. I, for example, can see how much any player on Stars is up or down, I can see how much is in his account, I can look at any hand he's played (face up) or whatever... Those advantages are far too great, and I imagine the temptation would be too much. We don't allow any members of staff to play in the real money games. Play money is a different matter though, we don't store those hand histories and frankly who cares who wins and loses there anyway. |

Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
[ QUOTE ]
I've played with dealers at the Bike. [/ QUOTE ] I've played with dealers, supervisors, and customer service people at the Bike and never had a second thought about it. I know a lot of those folks and have no worries that everything is on the square. This may be an area that is indeed different online, however. Live, the process is transparent; you can see the cards being dealt, hear what is being said, nothing is going on in the background. It is all in the open in front of you. Online you are dealing with more of a "black box" situation and it's harder to trust that some unscrupulous employee might not be using inside info to gain an edge. In a B&M, it is silly to chase your own employees across town or across the street even, so that they can play. Online, they can play anywhere with equal convenience and it may be better in terms of appearances to ban them from the site in which they work. my thoughts anyway, Shauna |

Re: Site employee plays cash games at site
[ QUOTE ]
Ok maybe i wasnt aware, i'm from AC, i know they can't play in the same casino here, i guess i just assumed it was the same everywhere [/ QUOTE ] This is another "it depends". In some jurisdictions, gaming regulations prohibit employees from playing at the casino they work for. This is true in Colorado, for example, and possibly in AC. Some casinos may have a rule against it even if it's legal. Some obviously don't. |
